Netherlands vs England: England breaks world record in ODI with 498-4
England hammered a record-breaking 498 for 4 to beat the Netherlands by 232 runs in the first one-day international in Amstelveen.
Jos Buttler smashed 162 from 70 balls as England surpassed their previous best of 481 for 6 against Australia in 2018.
Dawid Malan (125) and Phil Salt (122) also hit centuries as England made a mockery of the Dutch attack. The Netherlands were then bowled out for 266 in reply, with Max O'Dowd top-scoring with 51.
The victory gives England a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI will be played on Friday at the same venue.
